Corrections

A correction form exists because no editorial process catches every error before a page goes live. A measurement can be entered wrong, an instruction can read clearly to one cook and ambiguously to another, and certain points of regional food history stay disputed even among people who grew up with a dish. What sets a submitted report apart from a comment left elsewhere on the site is that it gets logged and reviewed on its own, one at a time.

Building a Useful Report

  • The page URL or the recipe name comes first, since it lets the item in question be located without guesswork.
  • A precise description of the problem comes second, whether it concerns a quantity, a step, a time, or a claim about region or history.
  • A source or the reasoning behind the correction comes third, included whenever one is available.

Full detail on how these reviews are carried out is available on the Editorial Policy page.
